IVF/IUI Enhancement

Our Naturopathic doctors provide acupuncture, nutritional support, herbal medicine, vitamin and mineral recommendations to improve egg and sperm quality, increase success rates, reduce risk of miscarriage, and focus on ensuring pregnancy is taken to full term.

The clinic focuses on an evidence based approach to enhance and improve your outcome.

Our Naturopaths work in conjunction with your fertility specialist to provide synergistic effects.

IVF/IUI Prep Program

Whether you are 7 days or 3 months away from your IVF/IUI transfer, our clinic can provide fertility support through our specialized treatments.

Prepping your body before the transfer ensures better success rates, lower side effects, and an increase in live birth rates.

Your Naturopathic doctor will give an individualized dietary, herbal, and acupuncture protocol prior to your procedure.

More specialized treatments, such as IV therapy, may be recommended by your Naturopath on a case by case basis.

Pre and Post IVF/IUI Acupuncture Treatments

Acupuncture is an effective tool to help prepare your body for your IVF/IUI procedure. It has beneficial effects on egg quality and can promote uterine blood flow, which may create a more hospitable environment for implantation. It can also help support you emotionally and mentally through this process.

Using specific acupuncture protocols, we administer treatment before and after your procedure.

2002 Study: 160 patients who were undergoing assisted reproduction therapy (ART) were divided into the following two groups: embryo transfer with acupuncture and embryo transfer without acupuncture.

“Clinical pregnancies were documented in 34 of 80 patients (42.5%) in the acupuncture group, whereas pregnancy rate was only 26.3% (21 out of 80 patients) in those who did not receive acupuncture).”

Both Naturopaths Dr Muradov and Dr Deol are trained in TCM and its implementation for infertility.

How does Acupuncture work?

  • Regulates menstrual cycle

  • Increases blood flow to the uterus and ovaries

  • Promotes ovulation

  • Supports successful implantation

If acupuncture is appropriate we typically perform weekly fertility acupuncture for at least 6 weeks.

After this, we typically we do fertility acupuncture once per month timed between about day 7 and day 13 of your menstrual cycle.

Acupuncture is also timed around your IVF and IUI procedures.
