Our Naturopathic fertility work-up includes both female and male analysis.

Male Infertility is the cause of 30-40% of infertility cases.

Male infertility

Analysis of a semen analysis report is the initial screening method.

At our clinic, our Naturopaths consider the lower limits of the accepted sperm quality reference ranges suboptimal.

We can enhance sperm concentration, motility and morphology.

A simple oral protocol is often suggested with 3-4 key evidence based natural agents to enhance sperm parameters

Our Edmonton clinic focuses on IV therapy. Our Naturopaths suggest IV nutrients to aggressively impact sperm quality.

RESEARCH: Supplementation with 100 mg/day of CoQ10 for 3 months increased sperm count and motility significantly in infertile men

CoQ10 can be given orally and by injection.

 Male workup

Although semen analysis is the most common area we look at, we may explore other factors.

There can be numerous environmental and lifestyle factors that effect male fertility.

Some of the investigations our Naturopaths use for male  fertility are similar to those used in female infertility, such as hormonal, nutritional, and metabolic testing.

We often work on global male health (diet, nutrients, and hormones) to improve fertility outcome.

The initial visit at our Edmonton clinic may be with both partners where a comprehensive reproductive history is done.

IV Therapy

IV administration of nutrients can enhance various seminal parameters while boosting energy, immunity and mood.

For men we usually give Zinc, Selenium, Vitamin B12 and Glutathione intravenously at our fertility clinic.

IVs are typically given 1x weekly for 2-3 months to enhance egg quality. We have extensive IV administration experience.
